Bus Rally 2012, Old Buckenham Airfield Near Attleborough, Norfolk [read more]
|
|
| |
NEW LOCATION NEW DATE |
| |
The new date for the rally organised by the ETCS is Sunday Aug 19th, the new location is the Old Buckenham Airfield near Attleborough in Norfolk.
We hope to attract 20 plus vehicles and there will be one or two sales stands (depending on attendees). Many aircraft will be flying in. There is a café on the site where you can enjoy an American inspired menu, with classic burgers, chilli dogs and sumptuous breakfasts. We will also be running a free bus service to Attleborough with stops in Old Buckenham (for the Gamekeeper pub), The Town Centre and Railway Station.
Old Buckenham airfield was built during 1942-43 for the United States Army Air Forces Eighth Air Force. It was given designation USAAF Air Station 144. There is a memorial to 453rd bomb Group by the main building.
